I am a senior EBIO student, and will graduate next spring. I chose to major in EBIO because the major provides a foundation of basic science, which will surely be helpful in pursing graduate studies. I am interested in the molecular mechanisms of plant development.
This semester, I completed a UROP assistanship with Rob Baker in Pam Diggle's lab, during which I learned PCR and RNA extraction techniques. This summer, I will complete a UROP individual project, examining a set of branching control genes in Mimulus guttatus.
